Cosme de Arana diciembre 20, 2012

China will establish national general supervision office on renewable energy power generation projects to secure the healthy development of renewable energy, said a notice released by National Energy Administration (NEA) on Monday.

The quality watchdog would oversee projects in hydraulic power, wind power, solar power, biomass energy and other renewable energy power generation projects, said NEA.

The quality watchdog would be affiliated to national planning and design institute of hydraulic power and water resources and has regional offices and project teams.

The project quality watchdog could earn payment from technological services with promoters of power generation projects, according to the notice.

The general supervision office of hydraulic power project established in 2011 would continue to operate under national planning and design institute of hydraulic power and water resources, said the notice.

China has set ambitious targets on the development of renewable energy but lacks quality supervision of renewable energy projects.
